It is likely that you have found this website because you have an interest in home birth. Maybe you have already had a home birth and anticipate another fulfilling birth experience. Perhaps this is your first pregnancy and you seek an alternative to medicalized hospital childbirth. You may have had a childbirth experience that was disappointing to you, one that left you with more questions than answers, and you are considering a home birth to bring your little one into the world this time.

Whatever your reason, I welcome you to Song of Life Midwifery. My intention is not to persuade you to have a home birth, only you can decide what is best for your family. However, I do provide some information for your consideration. You can read about me, the services I offer, and gain an understanding of Colorado law that governs the practice of direct-entry midwifery. You can even access some of the reading materials and web links I suggest for further information.

Song of Life Midwifery endeavors to provide quality and comprehensive care to couples desiring a home birth in Colorado. Each couple is encouraged to accept full responsibility for their birthing experience by being active participants throughout pregnancy, labor, childbirth and postpartum. Song of Life Midwifery also encourages active informed consent by providing complete, relevant, objective information to facilitate decision-making. I am concerned with the promotion of women's health, holistically combining an understanding of the social, emotional, spiritual, psychological, and physical implications of a woman's birthing experience.
